Adult Education Coordinator
Melisa CrislerWith great pleasure I have the opportunity to service as Adult Education and Career & Technical Coordinator for Neighbors' Educational Opportunities. My mission as the Coordinator is to ensure that both programs serve the students' needs. I will assist with the advancement of career training and development of our students.
As an Adult Education Community Specialist 3 for the Department of Workforce Development (DWD) in the Porter and Lake Counties, I have established a great relationship with Adult Learning sites and with Work One to help serve the communities better. My career in education and career development started 15 years ago. During that time, I have been with Hammond Adult Learning Center as a Computer Coordinator, Edison/Newton Learning Schools as a Site Director/Coordinator and Recruiter, and East Chicago Urban Enterprise Charter School. In addition, I serve on the Merrillville High School Continuous Improvement Committee and as a Board Member for Sedona POA.
I received my Associates of Science Degree in Early Childhood Development at Prairie State College and a Bachelor of Science in Management from the University of Phoenix.
