Favorite Quote:

"If you are not willing to learn, no one can help you.  If you are determined to learn, no one can stop you."

Why I teach:

I teach because I believe our world depends on an educated society, and as a teacher it is my desire to guide the youth in that direction. Teaching gives me the ability to learn from my own students each day as well. I thank my students for what they have taught me and hope one day they will thank (or at least remember) me for what I have taught them.

A Memorable School Experience:

It was an honor to be chosen to march in the parade that welcomed Frank Borman, the Commander of the Apollo 8 mission back to his birthplace in Gary, Indiana. Special tickets were awarded to Gary High School students to hear him speak at Memorial Auditorium, and I was also the proud recipient of one of those. The space program was very big during my high school years, and having the opportunity to meet the astronaut involved in the first mission to fly around the moon was quite a thrill.
