Assessments and Grading
You will have formative assessments (participation and daily assignments) worth 30% of your overall grade and summative assessments (tests, quizzes, projects, and essays) worth 70% of your overall grade. You will receive a rubric outlining the expectations when projects and essays are assigned.
Much of the work may be project-based. You may stay after school to work on missing assignments or get explanations. When you are absent, it is your responsibility to make sure you receive your missed work. If you miss more than two consecutive excused days, please call the main office and arrange to have work picked up to prevent you from falling too far behind.
